The needle roller and cage assembly is a separate assembly consisting of a steel or polymer cage and specially placed needle rollers. The cage is highly reinforced to balance high loads. Needle
The needle and cage assemblies are equipped with standard sorting G2 needles. Such products are marked on the package and color coded. The diameter tolerance is 2 mm. Adjacent sort pairs match.
The needle roller and cage assembly has a molded FRP engineered polymer cage and 1 or 2 rows of needle rollers. They provide high bearing capacity and radial stiffness with minimal radial space. The cage is also hardened and has an optimized guiding geometry to minimize pressure velocity effects. They have single row and double row. The maximum diameter is equal to the diameter of the needle.
In addition to the cage, the needle roller and cage assembly must withstand a sufficiently high load. The radial load shall be p/c0r/60, although this is usually greater because of the weight and external forces of the supporting components. The design of the shaft and housing and the lateral restriction of the bearing position are essential to ensure the correct operation of the needle roller and cage assembly. If these standards are not met, the component may not function properly.
